Dallas, Texas- For 26 years (and going) Purple Giraffe has been screen printing custom t-shirts. We all know that it is a jungle out there. Now we have proof. Purple G (Giraffe) Compressed Tees (ASI#80086), a supplier of compressed tee shirts to the promotional products and retail industry based in Dallas, purchased the former PakTites (ASI#75774) compressed products packaging facility in Rahway, New Jersey. Purple G will assume PakTites ASI listing and continue to produce compressed tees, towels and other products in Rahway. Customer service will be handled from Purple G’s Dallas offices.

"This is a big day for Distributors on the East Coast. With this acquisition, we are now only one shipping day via ground service to most major East coast cities, including Baltimore, Boston, DC, Hartford, New York, Newark and Philadelphia," says Robert Weinberg, Managing Director. "Add this acquisition to the fact that our Dallas facility is centrally located, we now are just one-two days shipping time to most major US Cities, and about three-quarters of all Distributors."

Purple G approached Mark Kaufman, President of PakTites, in November of 2006, about a possible purchase. Mr. Kaufman originally invented the compressed tee concept for Coca Cola and the NFL in the early 1990s and is considered the pioneer of compressed tees, towels and other unique packaging. He holds utility patents for the same.

"The energy and synergy that came out of our initial meetings were fabulous. We were kindred spirits from the get-go. Mark and I even joked about their pink elephant mascot and our purple giraffe, like it was meant to be."
